Baked Ziti with Hidden Protein

Classic comfort food with extra nourishment

This tastes like traditional baked pasta, but it’s packed with protein thanks to the cheese and meat.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb cooked ziti pasta

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey

  • 1 jar marinara sauce

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella

  • ½ cup Parmesan

  • Optional: ½ cup blended cottage cheese

How to Make It

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Brown meat and mix with marinara sauce.

  3. Combine cooked pasta with sauce.

  4. Stir ricotta (and cottage cheese if using) into the pasta.

  5. Transfer to baking dish, top with mozzarella and Parmesan.

  6. Bake 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
